That is to say … A Landlord must comply:
- Make sure the gas equipment is safely installed and maintained by a Gas Safe registered engineer
- A registered engineer do an annual gas safety review on each appliance and flue
- Provide the tenant with a copy of the gas safety check record before they move in, or within 28 days of the check
Really Important:
Failure to comply with Gas Safety Rules & Regulations makes the Landlord liable for heavy fines and even imprisonment!
